Wow, what a year 2021 was for all of us at Eidelon Insurance! Thanks to our dedicated network of agents all around the nation as well as the help and dedication of our parent company, we were able to provide clients with the best life insurance policies while making a massive impact on our communities. To get an idea of what our 2021 was like, from philanthropy to making the Inc. 5000 for the 6th year in a row, read below.
Organizational Donations
$434,000 – That’s how much we raised for non-profit organizations and causes just in 2021. That adds up to over $2 million raised by our agents and corporate staff, all going towards organizations focused on food insecurity, clean water, access to healthy food, legal services, counseling services, and more.
Contributing Locally
- Bounty & Soul: Donations from our corporate office provided more than 1,400 people with access to healthy food. In turn, this donation supported 45 local farmers and growers as well as weekly health and wellness education for adults and children.
- Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina: During the Annual Impact Event in December 2021, $217,000 was raised, granting 36 wishes! Throughout the year, an additional $41,000 was raised for this organization.
- OUR Voice: In 2021, we, along with Quility, raised $12,000 for OUR Voice, an Asheville, North Carolina-based non-profit crisis intervention and prevention agency that serves victims of sexual violence in Buncombe County. This donation provided more than 80 hours of counseling services for victims of sexual violence. On March 11, 2021, Quility was the presenting sponsor at the annual Break the Silence Speaker Series featuring keynote speaker Chanel Miller.
- Homeward Bound: Through our $13,000 donation, housing was provided for an individual who was experiencing homelessness and now has a warm, safe place to call home.
- Pisgah Legal Services : Staff and corporate donations provided 40 hours of legal work for families in the Asheville area to connect them with quality, often life-saving healthcare.
- Chow Chow Festival: Quility was a $5,000 sponsor of the local Chow Chow Festival, a culinary festival focused on equity, diversity and inclusion, educating and honoring all communities new and old, connecting other local non-profits, celebrating around delicious food while also exploring the intersections of our foodways with issues such as racial justice, food justice, climate change and more.
- Food Connection: Quility donated $10,000 to fund a local food truck for communities facing food insecurity. Food Connection eases hunger, reduces waste and supports the local food industry by redistributing surplus prepared food and purchasing meals from chefs to serve neighbors in need.
Contributing Globally
While we value helping our communities as much as possible, being able to help at a global level is important as well. Through Jimmy Spieldenner’s Africa Fund, $10,000 went towards the repair and modernization of a home in Africa, providing hot and cold water, flooring and a safe place to live. Through donations to Charity Water, more than 300 people per month gained access to clean water, leading to a total of over 3,600 people now having reliable access to clean water just from this year’s donations.
From Equity Appreciation Rights to Quility Level Term
Beyond making an impact in our communities, we also launched plenty of exciting updates for our agents, providing them even more ways to serve clients. To start, 2021 marked the launch of our first proprietary life insurance product, Quility Level Term, providing coverage of up to $1 million through an application that’s fully digital, meaning your policy can be delivered to your inbox in less than 10 minutes, a game-changer in the insurance industry.
We also announced the second round of equity appreciation grants , including “gift grants†to more than 250 individuals in the organization. Our parent company Quility has now awarded grants to more than 360 agents and corporate staff.
And then there were the awards! 2021 marked our sixth consecutive year on the Inc. 5000Â list of fastest growing private companies, a list that represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment of privately owned companies.
A year of accomplishments and growth
We partner with more than 30 non-profits and organizations All across the nation. From the partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to local partners like Bounty and Soul, we are proud to continue to impact the well-being of our communities throughout the year.
